This Privacy Policy describes how FileScrew PDF Editor Converter (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Android application, available on Google Play.

- Files you open, edit, or convert (PDFs, images, documents). These files are processed on your device. We do not upload your document content to our servers unless you explicitly use a cloud-connected feature (if applicable).
- Camera and photo access: If you use the scan-to-PDF or image-to-PDF features, the App accesses your device camera or photo gallery, only with your permission, solely to let you select or capture images to include in your documents.

- Device and app information: device model, Android OS version, app version, language settings, and crash/diagnostic logs, used to fix bugs and improve stability.
- Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID / AD_ID): used to serve and measure ads via Google AdMob (see Section 3).
- Usage analytics: general usage patterns (e.g., which features are used) via Firebase Analytics, to help us understand how the app is used and improve it.

We do not request “All Files Access” (broad device storage) permission. The app only accesses files you explicitly choose via the system file picker or that you create within the app.

We use the information described above to:
- Provide the core PDF editing/conversion functionality
- Diagnose and fix crashes and bugs
- Serve and personalize advertising (where permitted by your ad consent settings)
- Understand feature usage to improve the app
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

- Analytics and crash data are retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, consistent with our service providers’ retention practices.
- We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing (e.g., opt out of personalized ads via your device’s Ads Settings)
- Request a copy of your data (data portability)
You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time via your device’s Settings > Google > Ads.

6. Children’s Privacy
FileScrew PDF Editor Converter is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
